We consider our service work as "out of warranty repairs". We do not claim to "hack" or "modify" any existing proprietary software on any of these devices, that would be illegal.
What we do, is simply remove some parts and replace them with new ones, providing improvements to the original products specs.
We also use Open-source software (OSS) that is released under license in which the copyright holder grants users the rights to use, study, change, and distribute the software and its source code to anyone and for any purpose.
